# Using cPanel File Manager

## Accessing File Manager

After logging into cPanel, click the **File Manager** icon under the **Files** section. Your files start at `/home/username/`.

## Website Root Directory

Your website files are stored in the `public_html` folder. This is the root directory for your main domain. Addon domains each have their own subdirectory.

## Uploading Files

1. Navigate into `public_html`
2. Click **Upload** in the top toolbar
3. Select files from your computer (ZIP files are supported)
4. After uploading a ZIP, right-click it and select **Extract**

## File Permissions

- **Folders:** 755
- **PHP/HTML files:** 644
- **Executable scripts:** 755
