Using cPanel File Manager
Accessing File Manager
After logging into cPanel, click the File Manager icon under the Files section. Your files start at /home/username/.
Website Root Directory
Your website files are stored in the public_html folder. This is the root directory for your main domain. Addon domains each have their own subdirectory.
Uploading Files
- Navigate into
public_html - Click Upload in the top toolbar
- Select files from your computer (ZIP files are supported)
- After uploading a ZIP, right-click it and select Extract
File Permissions
- Folders: 755
- PHP/HTML files: 644
- Executable scripts: 755
